Looking for an LGBTQ+ author who offers virtual visits?

I would be delighted to attend a virtual book club meeting to discuss (Out) On the Road.

What We Can Cover

This is your book club, so you can use the time however works best for you.

We can discuss the book –– check out this book club discussion guide to the major themes –– do an author Q&A, or narrow down to a theme that feels especially exciting for you.

And if you’re a writer’s group, we can tailor the conversation to my writing journey, my book’s path to publication, and other insider advice.

Wondering what it’s like to have me at your book club?

You can also check out recordings of book clubs I’ve done in partnership with the women’s travel network Wanderful and the Revenue Rulebreaker community.

Benefits of Virtual Author Visits for Book Clubs

Having an author zoom into your book club is a fun opportunity for you (and for me, too).

You get to ask all those questions about writing and creating, the stories you couldn’t stop thinking about, and what came up for you while you were reading.

You can discuss the book as a whole or drill down on one of its themes, such as my favorite budget travel advice or how to plan LGBTQ+ family trips that everyone will love.

For me as the author, book club visits let me chat about my book directly with readers. Travel is one of my favorite things, and any chance to nerd out about is an emphatic yes from me. I love hearing readers’ questions and comments, and passing on advice and strategies when I can.

How It Works

You read the book and schedule an author visit.

I join your book club virtually using Zoom or Google Meet – whichever works best for you.

We have an open discussion, usually 30-45 minutes. If you’re hosting the book club, my book club discussion guide includes a breakdown of themes and suggested questions that makes it easy to host a discussion.

Of course, you can come up with your own book discussion questions, too. It’s best if you email those to me in advance, so I can show up prepared.

This is a suggested framework. If another format works best for you, we can discuss that.

Use the contact form below to start a conversation about virtual book club appearances. And thanks for thinking of me!
